Cut the yarn
Take a piece of cardboard. Measure the diameter of the green circle and cut out a corresponding circle from the cardboard.

Connect the two parts right side out. Crochet in the round with slip stitches, grabbing the back half loops.

When you have crocheted half of the round, insert the cardboard circle under the green circle.

Take green yarn. Attach the yarn for the last front stitch of the 18th round.
Crochet in the round with SC.

After the 18th round, continue to crochet on the 16th round without cutting the yarn.
Continue to crochet until the 2nd round.

Brown Yarn
1. 6 SC in MR
2. BLO 6 INC (12)
3-5. 12 SC
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff as desired.

Sew the trunk to the front loops of the 3rd round.

There’s a typo in the circle part of the pattern: 4. 1 SC, 1 INC, 1 INC repeat 6 times (24) – it should be 1 sc instead of the second increase, otherwise you’ll make 30 stitches
