Make a chain of 35 stitches. Start in the 2nd loop from the hook.
Back-and-forth rows. Each row starts in 2nd loop from the hook and ends with a chain stitch (which doesn’t count).

All next rows work in back loops only

Cut the yarn, leave long end for sewing.
